FAQs
Q: How big is your church?
A: Our church was established in 1978. Since then, the congregation has grown to more than 2,000 members. With three weekly worship services, members come to know each other well. We also encourage fellowship through our Tribal Family system. When someone joins our church, s/he is assigned to one of nine Tribal Families. Monthly Family meetings, along with gatherings and events throughout the year, offer opportunities to develop close church Family ties.
Q: What time is your service?
A: We offer three worship services each week: one on Saturday evening 6:00 pm service, and two on Sunday morning at 7:45 am and 11:00 am. Sunday School is offered between Sunday services at 9:45 am. You are welcome to participate in any or all of these worship opportunities.
Q: Do I have to dress up to attend your service?
A: Jesus invited people to “Come as you are”, so we welcome you no matter what you wear. At our Saturday evening worship service, you will likely see more casual dress – slacks, even jeans. On Sundays, you will see suits and ties for the men, and dresses (and occasional slacks) for the ladies. During the summer months, in order to stay cool, we encourage a more relaxed look, if desired.
Q: Do I always need to bring a Bible to worship service?
A: As Christ-followers, the Word of God is our life roadmap. Carrying a Bible, electronic or print, provides easy access at all times, especially during worship service. Should you not have a Bible with you, we invite you to use one of the many Bibles located in each pew throughout the church sanctuary.
Q: Am I required to give a financial offering during worship service?
A: Giving tithes and offerings is one way we, as believers, worship our Lord. Doing so is an expression of our love for and appreciation of our heavenly Father, and demonstrates our recognition that all we have comes from Him. We encourage all to give their tithes and offerings at the appointed time during each worship service. You can also give electronically on our website, or through Givelify, a free phone app.
Q: When do you serve Communion?
A: Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is served at all three worship services on the weekend of the first Sunday of every month.
Q: Can a visitor take communion?
A: If you have put your faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and as your personal Savior, you are welcome to take Communion with us. We partake of this symbolic act as a tangible reminder of Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation.
Q: How do I become a member if I decide to join?
A: Should you believe the Lord is prompting you to join our family of faith, you can do so during the Invitation, which directly follows the sermon at all three of our worship services. If you prefer to join more privately, please let one of the church ushers know, and you will be directed to an individual who can assist you.
Q: Do I have to belong to your denomination to attend?
A: We welcome people from all denominations to attend our worship services, and hope you will come again and again. As Christians, we are called to fellowship with other believers; we should each have a church home. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance to discover His desired home for you. If you feel led to join our fellowship, please respond to the Invitation, which directly follows the sermon at all three of our worship services. If you prefer to join more privately, just let one of the church ushers know, and you will be directed to an individual who can assist you.
